Murcia Airport (RMU)
Murcia Airport, or Murcia-Corvera Airport as it is locally known, is operated by Aena, the Spanish Airport Authority. The airport is a gateway to the Murcia region and serves a large number of budget and charter airlines. The airport is close to the northern coastline of the Mar Menor, a favorite destination for beach-goers.
The brand new Murcia Corvera Airport replaces the former Murcia–San Javier Airport and is used by all commercial aircrafts. Bigger and far better equipped, this new Murcia Corvera Airport will take over custom from budget airlines like easyjet and Ryanair, Jetairfly and Norwegian Air Shuttle, Iberia and Jet2.com, which up to now have been flying into San Javier Airport.
Murcia's Costa Calida has over the last few years won in popularity and become one of Spain's most visited holiday destinations. Corvera International Airport is located at a mere 2 kilometers distance from the town of Corvera. The distance between the two airports is just 19 kilometers and with car rental it is also easy to reach Alicante Airport, at a mere 80 kilometers distance from Murcia Airport.
Airport Terminals and Airlines
The airport has a single passenger terminal of 28,500 m² and a single 3,000 × 45 m runway. It has a capacity of 3 million passengers and 23,000 movements per year, however capacity can be subsequently increased to 5 million passengers. The terminal is equipped with 9 boarding gates, 25 check-in desks and 4 baggage reclaim belts.
There’s a handful of airlines offering regional and seasonal flights to multiple destinations from this airport, including easyJet, Jet2.com, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Ryanair, and TUI fly Belgium.

The bus services are available for all departing and arriving passengers, the timetable coincides with flights at Región de Murcia Airport. At present, buses run every day of the week, a few times a day. In the summer and when more flights are introduced the frequency is to be increased.
In addition to this public transportation option (or perhaps paying for a taxi service), you can also book a reliable door-to-door private transportation with UpTransfers, carried out with a modern fleet of fully licensed and insured vehicles, and be welcomed at the airport by an English-speaking driver - an excellent choice for traveling with style.
